About Me
Hello!
I am currently taking commissions for Fine Art Portraits and Images of equines especially, but other family pets also feature as you will see in my galleries.
I am currently located approx 25 miles East of Dallas, whilst preferring to work locally, I can travel. Please use the contact page for sharing your requirements with me.
A little background information....
I have an Associate Degree in Professional Photography, after qualifying from a course in the United Kingdom. Soon after I began working as a contemporary portrait and wedding photographer.
A recent relocation back to Texas saw me switching to Equine Photography through my life long appreciation of the form of the horse.
A Funny story.............
Many people have said that I seem to have a great understanding of the horse, whilst I have never owned one, it is true to say they have always held a great fascination for me throughout my life. I appreciate them for the enigmatic creatures that they are and the time they allow me now to spend in their midst.
Much of my spare time is spent at Throwaway Ponies Horse Rescue and Therapeutic Riding Center. I am learning to care for both healthy and sick equines alike through my involvement with them, and of course I am learning to ride Western too!
A funny memory I have from my childhood is that I would stop riding my bike to put it's front wheel in a puddle of water to 'let it drink', this was my imaginary horse. I'm pretty sure my friends got fed up of this odd practice quite quickly, though they were kind enough to simply go along with it as children often do, then we would simply ride off again!
And so..............
A selection of my images taken at TaPs are being produced into a charity book to raise funds for them, but also to raise awareness of the plight of such equines locally and beyond.
The Book..................
The book will be available at the end of April -beginning of May 2010 and I will post a link here, on my blog and on the links page of this site. The profits from sales of the book will all be donated back to Throwaway Ponies, so please help if you can.
UPDATE - BOOK PUBLISHED here's the link

Have a great day, Sues.
